Alert – Members in Arkansas
The Arkansas Insurance Department issued Bulletin No. 06-2025 in response to the recent severe storms taking place in Baxter, Chicot, Clark, Fulton, Greene, Hempstead, Hot Spring, Independence, Izard, Jackson, Lawrence, Nevada, Phillips, Randolph, Sharp, Stone, White, and Woodruff counties. Please see the links below. The Department has issued a 60-day moratorium on the cancellation and non-renewal of policies for the non-payment of premiums. This shall apply to all policies issued which cover risks in the above-mentioned counties.
This moratorium is not automatic and interested policyholders must request this extension from their insurance carriers and must have suffered significant property damage, injuries or related loss of life as a result of the severe storms. The 60-day moratorium period, where requested by the policyholder, shall be effective March 15, 2025.
Please be advised that this moratorium is not a waiver, but is only an extension or grace period in which to pay premiums.
If you reside in one of the affected areas and have experienced either significant property damage, injuries or related loss of life as a result of the severe storms, please contact our office at 800.247.5930, extension 4050 or member.services@phmic.com.
Thank you.
