Pharmacists Mutual Community Scholarship

The Pharmacists Mutual Community Pharmacy Scholarship, sponsored by Pharmacists Mutual Insurance Group, supports future pharmacists committed to serving independent or small-chain community pharmacies and underserved areas.

Award Details
Each recipient will receive $3,000, with up to $60,000 in scholarships awarded annually. This program recognizes student pharmacists who demonstrate a passion for community-based care.

Eligibility
Applicants must:

  • Be a current P2 or P3 pharmacy student who will advance to P3 or P4 in the 2027–2028 academic year.
  • Plan to practice in one of the following settings:
    • An independent or small-chain community pharmacy
    • An underserved geographic or cultural community, preferably in an independent or small-chain setting

How to Apply
Submit the following by December 1, 2026:

  • Electronic application
  • College transcript
  • Essay describing your interest in practicing in an independent or small-chain community pharmacy or underserved community, including steps you’ve taken to prepare for this career path.

The next application window is October 1 – December 1, 2026. Scholarship decisions will be communicated in late February/early March.
